In our share house (we live in a shared apartment with dozens people), we often see something fun comes out from nothing.
When there’s nothing else to do except for consuming oxygen, we usually spend time together in a shared lounge space.
A dude suddenly says, “XXX seems interesting, I wanna go” and the another dude replies,
“Yeah, why not? Let’s go”
“When?”
“Now or never?”
“That’s what I’m talkin bout!”
This is how things go in share house. We know we love it.
Following the same conversation flow above,
we have decided to go to TOKYO DISNEY LAND!!!
Going to TDL alone is nothing but a punishment, so we raised additional members.
Hmm… it is very awkward… somehow, the members were all male.
Not a dozen, but 20 dudes.
SO WHAT?
WE ARE GOING ANYWAY SO WE WILL HAVE A HELL OF FUN!!!!
I look back today and I wonder why none of the educated 20 men found something wrong with not inviting ladies to the group.
We searched and found out one keyword to enjoy TDL.
“TDL with School Uniforms” (TSU)
Unique Japanese trend that people going to Disney Land with their school uniforms like back in the days.
You don’t believe it?
Just google it, you will find many pics of the pioneers.
Yes, it does look fun. But the point is, 99% of them are girls.
We did google in Twitter, thousands people tweet that they wanna try TSU or they have had fun by TSU.
The feedback for my pre-research was as below.
“We are grown men now, school uniforms don’t fit”
“In the first place, I don’t even know where my uniforms are now”
“Why don’t we go to TDL with clothing that fits what we are now? Something like grown men?”
Disney is supposed to be for all genders.
It is a Land of Dreams, right?
The Land welcomes us although we are only dudes, 20 dudes.
So, here we are!!
At Disney Land.
Only 20 boys for real
We look so strange, so weird. But who cares, we are here to have fun.
Taking photos,
Enjoying rides,
Oh, man. This is lotta fun!!
And suddenly,
A girl “Excuse me, can we take a picture of you?”
We “ah, okay. Why not? No problem.”
I know we are good pausers.
Yes, we took a picture. Looks good. Looks good.
A girl “Excuse me, how about a photo with us?”
We “no problem, no pro… what!!??”
Taking photos with total (pretty) strangers for fun
Another Girl “Can we take a pic with you?”
And on and on and on…
We took pictures with families,
Foreign tourists,
And couples.
IT FEELS LIKE WE ARE A KIND OF CELEBRITIES!
Well, 20 dudes with same clothing with same hat definitely stand out in a crowd.

No wonder why. We can understand that.
But we never expected this much attention.
Over 100 photos we shot on that day.
And honestly, it feels purely great to be asked for a photo.

Girls “Thank you guys so much, this photo is something one of a kind!!”
Appreciation from girls and families, I was very touched.
Of course, we were born to be wild; we loved to take photo with girls.
But we loved to see kids smiling when they took pictures with us.
After all, the conclusion is…..
TSU is enjoyable for men as well!! (we assume)
Dismissed after ra-men.
Hats stunk much worse than we thought. The day was damn hot.
